ARTLab was contracted to evangelize QuickDraw 3D to 3rd party developers.
As a key tool in this effort, ARTLab proposed & developed the QuickDraw 3D web site.
The idea was that a dynamic public web site could act to jump-start demand for QD3D from the end-user side of things. This would in turn influence 3rd party developers to incorporate QD3D into their products and the web site would support them as well. The effect successfully snowballed.
ARTLab architected, designed and implemented all aspects of the site, including:
- Posting new content from Apple, 3rd party developers on a nearly daily basis
- Working with developers to create an continually growing online library of sample QQD3D models & a searchable library of QD3D shareware or demos
- Hosting an end-user 3D gallery and contests
- Handling all e-mail.

ARTLab also actively contacted developers and helped them understand the advantages of implementing QD3D, connected them to the appropriate resources at Apple and worked with them to promote their efforts on the QD3D web site and other 3D web sites.
