Luminous contracted ARTLab to develop a live demo for a series of product rollouts & an interactive CD, that would demonstrate their new OPEN software for managing prepress workflows.
Using alpha versions of OPEN, TrapWise, PressWise and Color Central, ARTLab created a live demo that showed off the enhanced profitability of a PowerPC native prepress workflow vs an identical 68k prepress workflow.
The demo automatically moved a job from page layout to trapping to imposition to OPI printing and in real-time displayed a prepress profitability index for the PowerPC vs 68k results.
The interactive CD presented animated flowcharts of how OPEN managed files and applications to automate various prepress workflows, balanced processing loads across multiple CPUs and enhanced billing accuracy.
ARTLab developed all aspects of both the live demo and CD: concept, script, programming, and graphics.
