This included:

• Researching and contacting developers of 3D products (Win, Mac & UNIX)
• Seeding developers with code & support materials
• Connecting developers to development resources they needed
• Providing developers with marketing exposure when they incorporated the technology
• Working with developers to define the future requirements for 3dmf
• Working very actively with 3D model vendors to make their 3D model libraries available in 3dmf format
• Working with file format translation software developers to support import and export of 3dmf.

For QuickDraw 3D, ARTLab acted as a liaison between the Mac & Win developers and the Apple QD3D development team.

This involved:

• Directing on-line queries to the appropriate people resources
• Working with developers to define the future requirements for QD3D
• Disseminating new information or documentation
• Working with developers at tradeshows or events to highlight their QD3D support
• Providing developers with marketing exposure on the QD3D web site as an incentive for QD3D efforts.
